Sometimes the Right Opportunity Finds You

The cool thing is, I didn’t stumble onto Vector, Vector stumbled onto me. I was a pretty shy 17-year-old, right out of high school when Vector Marketing Canada gave me a call about the openings they had on their team. Being young, inexperienced, and with few skills, I would have been glad to have any opportunity at all at that point. Although it wasn’t just any job, it was the best job out there.

I started selling Cutco part-time around school, not really expecting to succeed or to gain very much from this experience. I was very wrong. After only a few weeks, I quickly realized the growth I was going through and the opportunity I had in front of me. Vector Canada taught me how to interact with customers, how to plan and manage my time effectively, and most of all, taught me a lot about myself and about my capabilities.

The fact I’ve had such an amazing experience is due in big part to the incredible people that work for this organization. Every single person I’ve met through this company has helped me grow and my managers always believed in me, even when I didn’t believe in myself. Vector Canada really provides an environment with the resources and support to achieve any of our dreams.

I can’t imagine any other place that would have challenged me as Vector did. It’s pushed me to challenge my comfort zone in so many ways and I’ve become a better person because of it. I am now a more capable person, both in school and in life. I’m very grateful for Vector and everything I’ve become because of it. Thank you for finding me.
